1. 有观点，可憋不出专业词儿
2. 语言功底好，可偏偏没观点
如果想又有观点又有好语言，日常的积累必不可少。今天想通过一篇外刊文章的节选，来和大家分享一下该如何积累语料，为自己的文章增添色彩。
接下来，我们就跟随北京新东方雅思老师王老师一起逐段对这篇例文进行分析。
例文解析
原文第一段
LIVE telecast of c ourt proceedings has advantages and disadvantages. Among the advantages， it will allow more transp arency in the justice system. By allowing the public to see c ourt proceedings， they can gauge for themselves if due process is followed.
语言亮点：
1. live telecast of c ourt proceedings 庭审直播
2. allow more transp arency in the justice system 提高了司法的透明度
3. gauge if due process is followed 判断是否程序正当（gauge 判断； due process 正当程序）

提高司法透明度（让民众可参与判断）
原文第二段
Another advantage is the accessibility of the c ourtroom. A c ourtroom is not like a public hall where thousands of people can c ome in at one time. Only a limited number of people can attend c ourt proceedings and those who c ome to c ourt are subjected to certain rules to respect the c ourt， the judge and trial proceedings.
语言亮点：

Despite the advantages， live telecast of criminal trials can invite problems. There are always two p arties before the c ourt： the prosecution and the defence. The prosecution’s role is to prove the charges against the accused based on the evidence on rec ord. The defence will rebut the evidence. The c ourt arrives at a decision after the trial is c oncluded with arguments from both p arties presented before a judge. If the accused is c onvicted， that will not be the end of the case. The accused can appeal. Similarly， the prosecution can file an appeal if the accused is acquitted. The trial-and-appeal process may take months or years， so it would not be reasonable to hold a live broadcast of proceedings.

It may also cause social unrest， especially if it is a public-interest case， of a sensitive nature and the trial involves a very important person. There are hundreds of cases， and almost every other day there is a trial or hearing， so it is not possible to broadcast all cases.

Clearly， the c ons outweigh the pros in this matter. So live broadcast of trials is impractical.

通过精读外刊，我们发现了很多有用的观点及地道的语言可以用到作文中。以2020年1月4日的考题为例：
In some c ountries， some criminal trials in law c ourts are shown on television so that the general public can watch them. Do the advantages outweigh disadvantages？
在一些国家，一些刑事审判会通过电视播放给大众观看。其优点是否大于缺点？
